  31. Changes to Epson drivers:

  53.   quallity selection (low, medium, high, ...).
  54.   I.e. the quality is selected and an info box
  55.   below the "Density" cycle gadget gives 
  56.   information on the print resolution and method
  57.   (i.e. ink save mode, drop modulation mode, ...).

  112. Chapter 2: Installation
  113. =======================

  115. The installation procedure needs Installer V43.3 or higher!

  117. Installer V43.3 is included with the Turboprint disk. If you are using the
  118. "MCP" utility, you will have to copy the new Installer to your hard disk
  119. or deactivate MCP temporarily.

  122. Installation on a Draco computer by MacroSystem
  123. -----------------------------------------------
  124.  
  125. Turboprint can be installed on a Draco computer. However, IrseeSoft can't 
  126. guarantee the functionality, as the Draco is not 100% Amiga compatible.
  127. Before you install Turboprint on a Draco, you must carry out the 
  128. "personalization" procedure on a regular Amiga, as the Draco can't write
  129. to Amiga floppy disks.

  132. Usage of Turboprint with a PicassoIV graphics card / the Picasso96 driver
  133. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

  135. In connection with older versions of the Picasso96 driver software the
  136. following problems may occur:
  137.  
  138. Problem: Printout from applications like FinalWriter, Wordworth, PageStream
  139.          is in wrong colours (e.g. background in dark green)
  140.  
  141. Solution: Install the latest version of Picasso96
  142.  
  143. Problem: Text display in the GraphicsPublisher is incorrect.
  144.          Text is invisible or charactes are "cut off".
  145.  
  146. Solution: Install the latest version of Picasso96
  147.           or choose a 16 or 24 bit screen in the GraphicsPublisher.

  150. Usage with the PD software 'Executive'
  151. --------------------------------------

  153. If you use the task scheduler 'Executive', you have to make the following
  154. settings to be able to print from FinalWriter:

  198. Problems when printing
  199. ----------------------
  200.  
  201. If the text objects are being printed too small, there is probably not 
  202. enough free RAM memory available during printout. The wrong text size 
  203. is caused by a bug in the OS routines that generate CompuGraphic outline 
  204. fonts.
  205.  
  206. Solution: Make sure that there is enough memory available during printout 
  207. or open the GraphicsPublisher's settings requester and reduce the value
  208. "Text / Max.Print". Thus, text objects will be printed in slightly lower
  209. quality but in the correct size.

  212. Chapter 9: GNU Ghostscript
  213. ==========================
  214.  
  215. Turboprint comes with GNU Ghostscript 4.03, not the current 
  216. Aladdin Ghostscript 5.10. The reason for this is that the Aladdin
  217. license does not allow the bundling of Ghostscript with commercial
  218. software - the GNU licences allows this if some rules are respected.
  219.  
  220. Aladdin Ghostscript 5.10 from Aminet (internet or Aminet CDs) does NOT
  221. support 24bit printing with Turboprint, as the code for Turboprint support
  222. has to be compiled together with the other Ghostscript sources. A version
  223. of Ghostscript 5.10 with Turboprint support and also the sourcecode that
  224. has been added will be available on our WEB pages.

  228. Chapter 10: Hints for Printers
  229. ==============================

  231. Canon BJC printers - head cleaning & cartridge alignment
  232. --------------------------------------------------------
  233. There is a "BJC-Utility" for newer BJC printers (BJC1000, BJC2000, BJC4200 
  234. and higher).
  235. The BJC-Utility is programmed as an "Installer" script, so make sure
  236. that Installer V43.3 or higher is accessible in the current drawer or
  237. "C:".
  238.  
  239. Canon BJ monochrome inkjet printers
  240. -----------------------------------
  241.  
  242. The emulation must be set to "Canon BJ" mode at the printer (DIP switches,
  243. see your printer's manual).
  244. The international charset must be set to "Set 2" at the printer 
  245. (DIP switch).
  246. In TurboPrint, choose the driver "Canon_BJ".
  247.  
  248. Newer models (BJ-10ex, BJ-2xx, BJ-3xx) can also be used in EPSON LQ mode,
  249. which offers more fonts. To use EPSON LQ mode, the printer must be switched 
  250. to "LQ" mode (DIP switches, see your printer's manual). Choose the
  251. "Epson_LQ,SQ" driver in TurboPrint.
